1. Introduction

Welcome to Renew Reminder ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our website or use our application and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

2. Important Information and Who We Are

Controller: Renew Reminder is the controller and responsible for your personal data.

Contact Details: If you have any questions about this privacy policy or our privacy practices, please contact us at support@renewreminder.com.

3. The Data We Collect About You

We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

  • Identity Data: includes first name, last name, username or similar identifier.
  • Contact Data: includes email address and telephone numbers.
  • Financial Data: includes subscription details and transaction history. We do not store full credit card details; these are processed by our secure payment providers.
  • Technical Data: includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access this website.
  • Profile Data: includes your username and password, purchases or orders made by you, your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses.
  • Media Data: includes photos or images you choose to provide, such as a profile picture from your photo library, or documents you scan with your camera for account verification.
  • Usage Data: includes information about how you use our website, products and services.
  • Advertising and Tracking Data: includes your device's advertising identifier (such as Apple's IDFA or Google's Advertising ID), approximate (coarse) location derived from your IP address, and information about your interaction with ads. With your permission, this data may be used to deliver and measure personalized advertising and is shared with our advertising partners.

4. How We Use Your Personal Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

  • Where we need to perform the contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you.
  • Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.
  • Where we need to comply with a legal obligation.
  • Where you have given us clear consent to do so (e.g., for marketing communications).

5. Advertising, Tracking and Third Parties

Our mobile application displays advertising provided by Google AdMob (a Google service). To support our free service, these ads may be personalized based on your activity across apps and websites owned by other companies.

App Tracking Transparency (iOS): On Apple devices, we will ask for your permission before tracking you or accessing your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for the purpose of showing you relevant ads. If you do not grant permission, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized. You can change this choice at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Advertising partners: When ads are served, our advertising partners (including Google) may collect and process your advertising identifier, IP address, and interaction data to deliver and measure advertising. Their use of this data is governed by their own privacy policies. You can learn more about how Google uses data and manage your preferences at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising identifier, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device's Settings > Privacy > Ads.

6. Data Retention

We will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.

7. Your Legal Rights

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data, including the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data.
  • Request correction of your personal data.
  • Request erasure of your personal data.
  • Object to processing of your personal data.
  • Request restriction of processing your personal data.
  • Request transfer of your personal data.
  • Right to withdraw consent.

You can exercise these rights within your account settings or by contacting us at support@renewreminder.com.
