1.The program
These terms are between your firm and Onda Software Solutions LLC (“we”), the company that operates Renew Reminder. They apply from the day we confirm by email that your firm is a partner. Your firm’s own use of Renew Reminder is covered by our Terms of Service.
2.Joining and your workspace
Apply with the form on the partners page. When we accept your firm, we email you your partner link, which looks like renewreminder.com/p/your-firm, and ask how you would like to be paid.
While your firm is a partner, its own Renew Reminder workspace is free. If the partnership ends, we give you 30 days’ notice before the workspace needs a paid plan.
3.Which clients count
A company counts as your referral when it creates its workspace:
- within 90 days after opening your partner link, on the same browser; or
- without your link, if you email us the company’s name and the email address it signed up with, no later than 30 days after it signs up.
Each company counts for one partner only. If it opened more than one partner’s link, the most recent one counts. Once a company is credited to a partner, it stays with that partner.
These do not count: your own firm’s workspace; a company you own or work for; and a company that already had a Renew Reminder workspace before your referral.
4.What you earn
20% of what each company you referred pays us for its Renew Reminder subscription during its first 12 months as a paying customer, counted from its first payment. After those 12 months, nothing more is earned on that company.
It is worked out on what we actually receive: sales tax and VAT are left out, and refunds, credits and chargebacks are taken off. If a payment we already paid you on is refunded later, we take your 20% of it off your next payment. One-off services, such as the $49 setup service, are not included.
5.When and how we pay
Every three months. Within 15 days after each quarter ends (March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31), we email you a statement listing each company you referred, its payments and your 20%, and we pay the total.
If the total is under $50, we carry it over to the next quarter. If the partnership ends, we pay whatever you are owed with the next quarterly payment, whatever the amount.
We pay in US dollars by bank transfer. Firms outside the United States can be paid through Wise, and PayPal is available on request.
Before the first payment we need a tax form: a W-9 from a firm in the United States, or a W-8BEN-E from a firm outside it (a W-8BEN if you are an individual). We hold payments until we have it. You are responsible for the taxes on what you earn.
6.How you recommend us
- Describe Renew Reminder accurately, as our website does, and do not promise features or results it does not state.
- Tell your clients that you receive a referral fee, and follow your profession’s rules on commissions and referral fees. Some rules forbid accepting one, for example from a client whose financial statements you audit or review. Where yours do, do not accept it.
- Do not send unsolicited bulk email or messages about Renew Reminder, and follow the email marketing laws that apply to you.
- Do not bid on “Renew Reminder” or close variations of it in search ads, and do not present yourself as Renew Reminder or speak for us.
A referral made by breaking these rules earns nothing.
7.Changes and ending
Either of us can end the partnership at any time by email. Companies you referred before it ends keep earning for the rest of their 12 months, unless we ended it because you broke these terms.
We may change these terms. We email you at least 30 days before a change takes effect, and a change never reduces what you have already earned.
8.General
Your firm and we are independent businesses. Being a partner does not make you our employee, agent or representative, and neither of us can make commitments for the other. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, as section 21 of our Terms of Service sets out. Questions go to support@renewreminder.com.
