Small

Large

The month, on one tile.

For the people who would rather not open the app at all. The next renewal up top, a rule, then Upcoming: the next four after it with dates and amounts. When the list runs out it says so — Nothing else scheduled — instead of pretending there is more.

Lock Screen

iPhone

Before you even unlock.

Three Lock Screen widgets, drawn in the system's own monochrome so they match your wallpaper. Urgency is carried by the word — Due today, Overdue — because on the Lock Screen a red chip and a grey chip come out the same colour.

Circular
A ring that fills as the renewal gets closer, with the day count in the middle. Full ring means due now.
Rectangular
Name, amount and countdown, in the system's own type beside the clock.
Inline
One sentence above the time. “Netflix · 3 days.” Nothing else fits, so nothing else is drawn.

Hide amounts follows you to the Home Screen

A Home Screen is a shared surface — a colleague across the table sees it too. Turn on Hide amounts in the app and every figure on every widget becomes ••••, while the names and countdowns stay readable. One switch, both places.

How to add a widget

iOS

Home Screen

    Touch and hold an empty part of the Home Screen until the apps start to jiggle.

  2. 2

    Tap Edit in the top-left corner, then Add Widget.

  3. 3

    Search for Renew Reminder.

  4. 4

    Swipe to the size you want — Small, Medium or Large — and tap Add Widget.

Lock Screen

  1. 1

    Touch and hold the Lock Screen, then tap Customize.

  2. 2

    Choose Lock Screen, then tap the widget area under the clock.

  3. 3

    Pick Renew Reminder and choose Circular, Rectangular or Inline.

Android

Home Screen

  1. 1

    Touch and hold an empty part of the Home Screen.

  2. 2

    Tap Widgets.

  3. 3

    Scroll to Renew Reminder and expand it.

  4. 4

    Touch and hold the size you want and drop it where it should live.

Put the next charge where you'll actually see it
