Recurring billing is built to be easy to start and easy to forget. Renew Reminder is the consumer tool that flips that balance back — and there is real room to build a business on it.

Why now
Almost everything a household buys has been rewritten as a subscription — streaming, software, storage, fitness, delivery, news, games. Each one is a small, individually unremarkable charge, which is exactly why they accumulate unnoticed. The failure is not that people overspend on purpose; it is that nothing tells them what they are paying for until the statement arrives.
Banks show the charge after it clears. Card issuers surface merchants, not intent. Neither one is incentivised to help a customer cancel. That leaves a gap for a product whose only job is to warn a person before the money moves and then get out of the way — which is the whole of what Renew Reminder does.
What we've built
Reminders that land
Email, SMS and push alerts fire ahead of every charge, on a lead time the user sets. The reminder is the product — it turns a forgotten subscription into a decision.
Bank sync and manual entry
Connect an account to have recurring charges detected, or add them by hand. Both paths are first-class, so the product works before a bank is ever linked.
Cancelling, at the point of intent
A growing library of provider-specific cancellation guides sits beside the reminder — the moment someone decides to cancel is the moment they need the steps.
One product, every screen
Native iOS and Android apps, tablet and iPad layouts, a home-screen widget and a full web app, sharing one backend and one subscription across platforms.
How the business makes money
Renew Reminder is a paid consumer subscription with a free tier. The free tier covers manual tracking and core reminders so the product is genuinely useful before anyone pays; the paid tier adds the capabilities that scale with how much a person is actually spending.
Billing runs through the app stores on mobile and through Stripe on the web, with entitlements synced across both so a subscription bought on a phone is honoured on the web and the other way around. There is no advertising in the product — all ad software was removed in full, and revenue comes from customers rather than from their attention.
See the current tiers on the pricing page.
Where it goes next
The near-term work closes the loop between noticing a charge and doing something about it — deeper detection of recurring spend, broader cancellation coverage, and an assistant that surfaces the subscription worth killing without being asked. What is shipped, in progress and queued is kept publicly on the product roadmap.
Data posture
A product that sits next to someone's bank account only works if it is trusted. Bank connections use a regulated aggregator, full card details are never held by us, and the product carries no advertising SDKs and no advertising identifier. The specifics are set out in the privacy policy.
Who you'd be backing
Renew Reminder is built by three people, all of them hands-on. Faseeh Hyder co-founded it around a problem worth solving properly, and builds it with Hunter Singh and Joao Cavalcanti — the co-founders of Onda Software Solutions, a software company behind a range of other products. More on all three on the about page.
