- Renewly: Free plan. Starter $149 a month ($1,490 a year). Business $499 a month ($4,990 a year). Enterprise from $999 a month.

- Renew Reminder: A 14-day free trial of either plan, no card needed. No free business plan.
- Renewly: A free plan for up to 5 contracts and 3 seats. A 30-day money-back guarantee on paid plans.
- Seats
- Renew Reminder: Unlimited on both plans.
- Renewly: 3 on Free and Starter, 10 on Business, set per contract on Enterprise.
- How many vendors or contracts
- Renew Reminder: Business Starter 100 vendors. Business unlimited, subject to fair use.
- Renewly: Starter 100 contracts, Business 500. Above that, $2 per contract per month.
- Reading contracts
- Renew Reminder: Remi, our AI assistant, can read a receipt or bill, including a PDF, and suggest a vendor to add. It isn't built to pull every term out of a long contract.
- Renewly: Reads contract PDFs you upload and extracts 15+ fields, including the renewal date, notice period and auto-renewal clause. You review them before anything is saved.
- Storing the contract
- Renew Reminder: No place for the contract file on a vendor yet.
- Renewly: Keeps the uploaded PDF, which you can view and download.
- The last day to cancel
- Renew Reminder: Enter the notice period once. The vendor shows its last day to cancel, and the alert says "cancel by <date> to avoid renewal".
- Renewly: Takes the renewal date and subtracts the notice period, or uses a deadline the contract states.
- When alerts arrive
- Renew Reminder: Admins choose 1 to 30 days ahead, counted from the last day to cancel when a vendor has a notice period.
- Renewly: Fixed: 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before the key date, and on the day, with extra warnings for contracts that renew automatically.
- Who gets them
- Renew Reminder: Every Admin, plus the vendor's owner: a team member, or an owner tag (a name and email for someone with no login). On the Business plan, the Admins are told if an owner doesn't decide.
- Renewly: The contract's contact person, or the person who uploaded it if none is set.
- Recording the decision
- Renew Reminder: Renew, renegotiate or cancel, with who decided and when. Owners can answer Keep or Cancel from the email.
- Renewly: Notes and renewal decisions are logged, according to its site.
- Alert channels
- Renew Reminder: Email and push. SMS on the Business plan.
- Renewly: Email, with Slack, Microsoft Teams and calendar sync on some plans.
- Sign-in
- Renew Reminder: Email and password, or Google sign-in. No two-factor sign-in or SAML yet.
- Renewly: Google or Microsoft account, email link or passkey, with optional two-factor. SAML not available yet.
- Where data is stored
- Renew Reminder: Database in Germany (Amazon Web Services, Frankfurt); servers in France (European Union).
- Renewly: A region you choose at sign-up: the European Union or the United States.
Where Renewly may be the better choice
- Reading contracts for you. Renewly pulls terms out of the contract PDFs you upload. With Renew Reminder you enter the renewal date and notice period yourself, or import them from a spreadsheet. With a pile of long contracts and no time to read them, that matters.
- A free plan. With only a few contracts, Renewly's free plan covers up to 5. Renew Reminder has a 14-day trial, then a paid plan.
- Keeping the contract file. Renewly stores the uploaded PDF. A Renew Reminder vendor has no place for the contract file yet.
- Sign-in options. Renewly offers passkeys and optional two-factor sign-in. Renew Reminder doesn't have two-factor sign-in yet.
- Choosing a region. Renewly lets you choose an EU or a US region at sign-up. Renew Reminder keeps its database in Germany and its servers in France.
Where Renew Reminder may be the better choice
- Price. For up to 100 vendors: $49 a month, against Renewly Starter's $149. For more: $149 a month, against $499 for Renewly Business.
- Your whole team, at no extra cost. Unlimited seats on both plans, plus owner tags for people who will never sign in, such as your bookkeeper.
- Someone always decides. Each vendor has an owner, the alert comes before the last day to cancel, the owner can answer Keep or Cancel from the email, and on the Business plan the Admins hear about it if nobody does.
- Alerts on your timing. Admins choose how far ahead alerts arrive, and Business adds text messages.
- Charges found for you, if you want. Optional read-only bank and card links through Plaid, in the US and Canada: 3 on Business Starter, 10 on Business, more at $9 a month each.
- No IT project. Start from the vendor list you already have in QuickBooks or Xero.
