How to Get a Kindle Unlimited Refund If You Were Already Charged
Kindle Unlimited membership fees are non-refundable, and Amazon does not issue prorated or partial refunds for cancellations made mid-billing cycle. Your cancellation simply turns off auto-renewal for the next billing date.
If you were billed for an accidental renewal, go to Amazon's Customer Service contact page (amazon.com/contact-us), start a live chat, and explain that the renewal was unintentional. If you request a refund within 24 to 48 hours of the charge and have not borrowed or read any books since the renewal, customer support will usually issue a full refund as a one-time courtesy.
Do not file a credit card chargeback. Amazon is very strict about chargebacks and will permanently lock your entire Amazon account, which revokes your access to Kindle books, Prime benefits, and AWS services.
Charged for something you forgot?
Renew Reminder warns you up to 14 days before your next renewal — so you never have to chase a refund again.
