How to Cancel EA Play

EA Play subscription fees are non-refundable. Cancelling stops the next charge but does not refund unused time in the current billing period.

If billed through Steam, Epic, Xbox, or PlayStation, contact that platform's support for refund requests — EA cannot refund third-party charges.

For direct EA billing, contact EA Help at help.ea.com. Agents may issue a one-time refund for accidental renewals, especially if you have not used the service since the charge.

After cancelling, your EA Play benefits remain active until the end of your current billing period. After that:

• All EA Play library games become inaccessible (they are not uninstalled, but you cannot launch them).
• The 10% discount on EA purchases is removed.
• 10-hour game trials for new releases are no longer available.
• Your game saves, achievements, and EA account are fully preserved.

You can resubscribe at any time and immediately regain access to the full library.

If you primarily play on Xbox, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate ($14.99/mo) includes EA Play at no extra cost, plus 400+ other games. For PlayStation users, PlayStation Plus Extra ($13.99/mo) or Premium ($17.99/mo) includes EA Play titles.

If you only play one or two EA games regularly, purchasing them outright during sales may be cheaper long-term than maintaining a subscription. EA frequently runs 50–75% off sales on older titles.

• Check if EA Play is bundled. EA Play is included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium. If your EA Play access comes from one of those subscriptions, you do not have a separate EA Play subscription to cancel — cancelling Game Pass or PS Plus would end your EA Play access.
• Game saves are preserved. Cancelling EA Play removes access to the game library, but your save data, progress, and achievements are kept. If you resubscribe or purchase a game individually, your saves will be there.
• You lose the 10% discount. EA Play members get 10% off EA digital purchases. After cancelling, any future purchases are at full price.
• EA Play Pro (PC only) includes full new releases. If you are on EA Play Pro ($16.99/mo), downgrading to standard EA Play ($5.99/mo) keeps library access but removes day-one full game access and premium editions.
