How to Cancel Apple One

Apple does not automatically issue refunds for unused days when you cancel Apple One. Access continues until the billing period ends.

To request a refund for a charge you didn't intend — for example, if your Apple One renewed after you forgot to cancel — go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Apple One charge, and click Report a Problem → I didn't mean to subscribe (or similar). Apple typically grants one courtesy refund per subscription per Apple ID, especially when requested within a few days of the charge.

If the website request is declined, contact Apple Support directly at apple.com/support. A chat or phone agent can often approve what the automated system rejected. Have your Apple ID and billing date ready.

After cancelling, all Apple One services remain active until the end of your current billing period. Apple will send a confirmation email with the exact access end date.

After access ends:
• Apple Music: your library, playlists, and downloads disappear unless you have tracks matched to your own files. Re-subscribing restores everything.
• Apple TV+: your watchlist and progress are saved for approximately 90 days.
• Apple Arcade: saved game data is kept for a limited time; check individual game settings for specifics.
• iCloud+: if you had more storage than the free 5 GB tier, Apple will give you a grace period to either reduce your storage usage or purchase a standalone iCloud+ plan. Files are not deleted immediately.

If Apple One feels too expensive for what you use, calculate whether paying individually for only the services you actually use would cost less. Apple TV+ is $12.99/mo on its own; Apple Music is $10.99/mo; Apple Arcade is $6.99/mo. If you only use two of the three, individual plans may actually be cheaper.

For music specifically, Spotify at $11.99/mo (individual) or Amazon Music Unlimited at $11.99/mo for Prime members are direct alternatives to Apple Music. For video, Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video all have content Apple TV+ does not.

If cloud storage is the main reason you're on Apple One, a standalone iCloud+ 50 GB plan costs $0.99/mo — significantly cheaper than any Apple One tier.

• Cancelling Apple One cancels everything at once. Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud+, and (on Premier) Apple News+ and Fitness+ all end together when Apple One is cancelled. If you only want to drop the bundle, decide which services you want to keep and re-subscribe to those individually before cancelling.
• iCloud+ storage warning — this is the most important one. If you rely on iCloud+ storage included in Apple One (50 GB for Individual, 200 GB for Family, 2 TB for Premier) and do not have a standalone iCloud+ plan, you will be dropped to the free 5 GB tier after your billing period ends. Apple warns you about this on the cancellation confirmation screen. Make sure your files, photos, and device backups will still fit, or purchase a standalone iCloud+ plan first.
• Family Sharing users: if you are the Family Sharing organizer, cancelling Apple One ends access for all family members across all bundled services simultaneously.
• No pause option. Apple One cannot be paused or downgraded mid-cycle. Your only options are to keep the current plan, switch to a lower tier (Individual/Family/Premier), or cancel entirely.
• Considering a downgrade? You can switch plans instead of cancelling by going to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Apple One and selecting a different tier.
