How to Get a Planet Fitness Refund If You Were Already Charged
Planet Fitness monthly dues and the annual fee are generally non-refundable — cancelling stops future billing rather than refunding what you've already paid, and you keep access until the end of the current period. There are still a few situations where you can get money back.
If you were charged after you had already cancelled, that's the strongest case. Contact your home club (not corporate) with your proof — the certified-mail return receipt, a signed in-person cancellation form, or the online confirmation email — and ask them to reverse the charge. Clubs will refund dues or an annual fee billed after a documented cancellation, but only if you can show the request was received before the deadline.
If the club refuses and you have clear proof the charge came after a valid cancellation, dispute it with your card issuer as a last resort. Bring your cancellation receipt to the dispute. Avoid using a chargeback while you still have an active, un-cancelled membership — the club can send the balance to collections.
