How to Cancel Orangetheory Fitness

Orangetheory does not offer refunds for memberships.

If you fail to give 30 days' notice, you cannot get a refund for your final month. The only exception is if you cancel within a "cooling-off" period (usually 3 days after signing the initial contract) as mandated by local laws.

Once you submit your cancellation, you will be billed for your final 30-day notice period.

You are entitled to continue booking and attending classes until the end of that final paid billing cycle.

• 30 Days' Notice. Orangetheory strictly enforces a 30-day written notice policy for cancellations. This means you will almost certainly be billed for one final month after you submit your cancellation request.
• In-person is best. Because studios are independently owned franchises, policies vary. However, almost all studios require you to sign a physical form in person. If you moved away, you usually have to send a certified letter.
• Check your contract. Some studios allow email cancellations, while others strictly prohibit them. Review the agreement you signed when you joined, or call the front desk to confirm their local policy.
• Freezing vs. Cancelling. If you are injured or travelling, you can often "freeze" your membership for up to 60 days instead of cancelling. Freezing usually carries a small administrative fee (e.g., $15/month).
