Connect Claude Code

Add Renew Reminder to Claude Code from the terminal, then sign in once from inside a session.

Claude Code is Anthropic's command-line assistant. Add the server once, then authenticate from inside a session — your browser opens the same approval page every other app uses.

  1. 1In a terminal, run: claude mcp add --transport http renew-reminder https://api.renewreminder.com/mcp
  2. 2Start Claude Code and type /mcp.
  3. 3Pick renew-reminder and choose Authenticate. Your browser opens a Renew Reminder page — sign in if asked and press Allow.
  4. 4Return to the terminal. The connection shows as connected, and the tools are available in that session.

Using an API key instead

If you already have a Renew Reminder API key, you can skip the sign-in and pass it as a header. The same key, quota and revocation apply as for the REST API:

claude mcp add --transport http renew-reminder https://api.renewreminder.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer rrk_live_…"

To remove the server later: claude mcp remove renew-reminder. That forgets it on your machine; to revoke its access to your account as well, use Settings → AI apps.
