Cancelling before a trial charges you
What to do when the reminder lands — and where to find step-by-step cancellation guides.
Renew Reminder tells you a charge is coming. Cancelling happens with the provider — we cannot do it for you, and neither can any other app that claims to without acting on your behalf.
- 1Cancel in the same place you signed up. A trial started through the App Store is cancelled in App Store subscriptions, not on the provider's website — this catches a lot of people.
- 2Get the confirmation in writing. A cancellation email or an on-screen 'access until [date]' message is your evidence.
- 3Check that access runs to the end of the period you already paid for. It usually does — cancelling early rarely means losing it immediately.
- 4Only then delete the subscription in Renew Reminder, or keep it and set a reminder for the access-ends date.
